Alestrem Hard Enduro
The opening round of the Hard Enduro World Championship took place over the weekend at the Alestrem Hard Enduro race in France. This event gave fans everything you could expect from hot, dry and dusty conditions in the Prologue to a cold, wet and slippery main race. We have some of the top riders in the world supported by Plews including Mario Roman, Matthew Green, James Moore, Will Hoare, Toby Shaw, Francesc Moret, Marc Fernandez and Radford Chugg.
Riders had three days of racing with Xtreme Test on Friday where riders set their qualifying runs. Looking at the results we had Mario in 4th, Will in 9th, Francesc in 10th, James in 12th, Toby in 14th, Marc in 15th, Matt in 19th and Radford in 34th.

Moving onto day 2 riders had the Prologue which set their starting positions for the main race day. Riders race in heats until there are just 20 left for the first two start rows of the main race. Will had a great result in 7th with Toby closely behind in 8th. Marc in 12th, James in 13th, Matthew in 17th, Francesc in 18th and Mario in 20th.
@HEWC
Looking at the main race on Sunday, riders had four hours to complete 3 laps which got progressively harder. Starting with a green line then moving to two blue lines before a final technical hill climb to the finish. While the event organisers had this schedule planned, the weather had other ideas and with an absolute downpour mid-race the track managers were forced to make quick changes to the track.
Mario Roman had some great racing and would pull off an jaw dropping move right on the final hill passing Teodor to cross the line in second place. Reflecting on his weekend Mario shares that it wasn’t the best weekend, starting on the 2nd row from 20th, and with the rain shower the track became so slick. He managed to cross the finish as the 2nd rider and is super stoked and proud of himself. Talking about his tyre choice he mentioned that in the beginning they used a harder compound for the first two laps but once it became slick they changed the whole wheel like many of the riders and with The Tough One super soft it was unbelievable with so much grip. It was clear to see the performance when he was one of the only riders clearing the final hill climb.

Matt Green also had a good race coming across the line in 8th place and finishing in style. His weekend started with quite a few crashed and falls during the Xtreme test and prologue days but he pulled it together for the main race and pushed through some super technical sections as well as extremely slippery hill climbs.

Looking at the overall Results in the Junior Championship we have James Moore in 2nd and Toby Shaw in third. We also have two youth riders, Damon Garrell sitting in 1st and Kyle Gianotti in 3rd.

Only 10 riders made it across the finish before the time bar with the rest of the positions determined by the last completed checkpoint. Plews Tyres is proud to be the official tyre sponsor for the championship providing riders with world class tyres and a hospitality zone for spectators. The next round will be at Extreme Lagares in Portugal in only 2 weeks time.
EMX 125 & EMX250
EMX125
The Trentino Grand Prix was round 4 of the EMX125 and EMX250 Championship that took place at Pietramurata in Italy over the weekend. This is known as a hardpack circuit with a very technical layout, great elevation and unforgiving surface.
Moritz Ernecker and Ricardo Bauer from the Norman KTM Racing Team once again showed their race craft and dominated the 125 class racing consistently all weekend. Looking at race one it would be Mortiz that would take an early lead and continue to hold his position for the duration of the race. There was much competition with the top 10 riders positions changing constantly in the first laps. Ricardo would find himself in 3rd with pressure from behind but both riders would manage to hold onto their positions with Moritz taking his third win on the season and Ricardo finishing the podium in third.
@TMS
Race two was just as exciting for the 125 riders with Moritz taking an early lead and confidently leading the pack with an almost 7 second lead. Ricardo worked his magic and by putting pressure on second position he was ready to take the opportunity when it presented itself to push up into second position. With two race wins, Ernecker secured maximum points and the overall victory with 50 points, ahead of Bauer in second on 42 points.

The Mequitec GASGAS Spanish Racing Team rider Jordi Alba had a decent race 1 coming in P16. Unfortunately the second race would not be as good with a finishing position of P38. He faced some mechanical problems over the weekend but placed P20 overall and felt that it was an exciting opportunity to learn.
@TMS
Pau Caudet did not have a great race 1 coming in P40. In race 2 he would bounce back with a P14 result. Overall he finishes in P18 and feels that he is still happy that he has identified area for improvement for the coming rounds.

EMX250
The Mequitec GASGAS Spanish Racing Team had some great results over the weekend especially Adria Monne in the 250 class. Adria Monne had an excellent start with his race one coming in 3rd position and standing on the podium box. Looking at race 2, he would continue to race consistently and finish in P11. Overall Adria would leave the weekend in P5 overall, a brilliant result for round 4. He shared that he made some mistakes but believes he is getting great experience and getting into a rhythm.

British Masters Motocross
Round two of the British Masters took place at the weekend at the iconic Hawkstone track. We had a large number of Plews supported riders take to the track across almost all categories. Here are the results:
