He shared that he felt it was a tricky weekend overall after falling several times between both races. This prevented him from being able to compete for the front positions. In race one Adria finished P11 and in race two he finished P9. Connor Watson had a brilliant weekend and lead the pace of the expert class. This was his first weekend on his new GasGas bike with the Eurotek team. It’s clear he’s had no trouble adapting and finished the weekend in P1 in the expert class.
Many if the riders shared that Helmsley did not disappoint with a long hard enduro on quite a brutal track. The first couple laps took time to get familiar but riders started to find their flow after that.

Small Wheel 85cc
Ronan Watson had a fantastic weekend and shared how he really enjoyed the event. He qualified 2nd which is a great result especially since he had a with a flat tyre. Ronan went on to take the top spot in all four motos winning 1-1-1-1 and walking away top rider in the SM85 class. It’s clear that Ronan loves sand so this was definitely his track.

65cc
Freddie Budgen got his first national podium result. The whole family was certainly on a high after this performance and what made it even sweeter was sharing it with two Team GB riders. Freddie rode well all weekend and event though he was unlucky not to get a win he had some great results. He qualified in P2 and went on to get a P3, P5, P3 & P3. Overall he finishes in P3 in the 65cc class.

Autos
Austin Senior was another rider who also had a great weekend of racing. He qualified P1, and then took all four holeshots as well as all four race wins. Overall he stands on the top of the Autos class podium. Reflecting on the weekend he shares that it was awesome to ride around the iconic Hawkstone park.
Ben Matthews had done little to no sand riding before this race and really had his work cut out for him. The track was very deep and very rough. The riders couldnt’ send any jumps due to the faces being so rutted up. Ben dug deep and after 2 laps on each race started to find some kind of flow. In race one he come together with George three corners in and ended up dead last by around a minute until his dad got to him pulled back to P6. Race two was a good start that he managed to hol onto for a P2. Race 3 would be a slow start and it would take some time for Ben to get into the racing mindset after some close encounters. He finished in P2. In the last race he spun sideways off the start but came back and had some battles for 3rd. Overall Ben finished 3rd, tied points with P2.
