This past weekend round 4 of the Hard Enduro World Championship took place at the Sea to Sky race in Turkey. This is often regarded as the most enjoyable hard enduro race of the series. Three days of racing in completely different terrains. Riders start with the beach race on day 1, the forest race on day 2 and end off with the mountain race riding literally from the sea to the sky.
James Moore started his weekend off with a bit of a messy race on day one but still managed to secure a 7th place start for day 2. He then backed up that performance with another 7th after the forest race. Heading into the final day, James mentioned that he had a super good first half of the race and got some great experience. He finishes his Sea to Sky race in P6 overall and P5 in the championship class.
Matthew Green had a good race weekend. Staring with the beach race he made it to the second heat and finished in 17th for the day. Day 2’s forest race was a solid result with a P8. He finished the main race day in P7 overall and P6 in the championship class. He mentioned that there was both good and bed riding throughout the day. Matt didn’t have his team with him in Turkey for this event so it was great to see the community coming together to support each other.
Marc Font had a decent result from the beach race securing a 21st place start for the forest race. Day 2 he mentioned that he hasn’t been training as much recently which made it challenging to maintain a good race pace. Results from the forest race were a P24. He starts the final race day in the second row and finishes his race in P27 overall and 13th in the championship class.
Radford Chugg had a solid day of racing of day 1 coming top 10 and setting himself up for a good start on day 2. The forest race wasn’t as successful with some silly mistakes and a riding pace that was super challenging to keep up with. His result for the day was P25. The final race was a better result finishing P17 overall and P11 in the championship class.
Riders have 2 weeks off before heading to the next round which will be Getzen Rodeo in Germany.
