Ricardo Bauer claims 125cc world title with dominant 1-1 performance and Lucas Bos sweeps 65cc crown in breathtaking fashion at Jinín, Czech Republic

At the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship at the historic Jinín circuit in the Czech Republic, two Plews supported riders claimed world championship titles on the same day. Ricardo Bauer of the Norman KTM Factory Rookies was crowned the 125cc Junior World Champion, while Lucas Bos of the Moto France team claimed the 65cc Junior World Cup title. Both riders delivered perfect 1-1 performances. It is a result that exemplifies what Made To Win means.
RICARDO BAUER — 125cc JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPION
Ricardo Bauer did not just win the 125cc Junior World Championship at Jinín. He announced himself as the standout rider of his generation.
The young Austrian arrived in the Czech Republic as the natural challenger to championship leader and Norman KTM Factory Rookies teammate Moritz Ernecker. When Ernecker suffered an unfortunate crash in qualifying and was forced to withdraw with injury, a painful end to what had been a remarkable season, Bauer stepped into the moment without hesitation.

He began by laying down the fastest time in qualifying, securing the best gate pick for both championship motos. When the racing started, he was equally impressive.
In the opening moto, Bauer was measured and composed. He completed the first lap in second position, stayed patient and read the race carefully. On lap nine he made his move for the lead. From that point the race was over as a contest, he controlled the moto from the front and crossed the line a convincing winner.
The second moto was a different kind of statement. Bauer grabbed the holeshot and led from start to finish, riding flawlessly and extending his advantage with every passing lap. He crossed the line six seconds clear of the competition. A masterclass.

It is the crowning moment of a season that has seen Bauer grow from a promising contender into a genuine champion. Across the EMX125 Championship, the most competitive development series in European motocross, he has delivered multiple overall victories and now sealed the ultimate prize on the sport's biggest junior stage. Ricardo Bauer becomes a name that can now be spoken alongside former Junior World Champions who went on to define the sport at its highest level.

LUCAS BOS — 65cc JUNIOR WORLD CUP CHAMPION
If Ricardo's championship was built on patience and precision, Lucas Bos's was built on relentless speed and an unshakeable will to win. The young French rider claimed the 65cc Junior World Cup title with a 1-1 performance that was as exciting to watch as it was dominant in outcome.
The 65cc class brought together 88 riders from 40 nations to Jinín, with the USA, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and a host of other nations all represented. Bos qualified strongly, finishing P2 in his group, before lining up for a final day that would prove to be the most intense of his young career.
Race one saw Bos start from around P10 and immediately set about working his way through the field. Italy's Daniel Corda grabbed the early holeshot before Spain's Adan Quesada moved to the front. Bos tracked the leaders with patience and intent, and in the final three laps found the extra pace to take the lead and close out a brilliant race win.
Race two brought the title fight to its climax. Bos started P6 or P7, hit a small mistake that dropped him back to P8, and then did what champions do, he put his head down and hunted. He tracked down Quesada in what became an intense, wheel-to-wheel battle for the race lead and the world title. Bos forced his way through and drove hard to the flag.
He knew exactly what was at stake. "I knew that whoever won the second race would be world champion," he said afterwards. "Last time in Slovenia I had won the first race and finished second in the second race, and that cost me. It taught me a lesson. This year I am world champion."
Lucas Bos is the 2026 FIM 65cc Junior World Motocross Champion. In winning at Jinín, he joins a list of former 65cc champions at this venue that includes Jorge Prado, Jett Lawrence and Ivano van Erp. Three names that went on to shape the sport at its highest level. If this race is anything to go by, the world will be hearing Lucas Bos's name for a long time to come.

A NOTE ON MORITZ ERNECKER
This is a day of celebration, but it would be wrong to move on without acknowledging Moritz Ernecker. The Austrian arrived in Jinín as the EMX125 championship points leader and one of the most consistent performers in junior motocross this season. His crash in qualifying, which forced his withdrawal from the remainder of the weekend, is a painful way to see a brilliant season end. Moritz has been at the heart of the Norman KTM Factory Rookies' story throughout 2026 and the entire Plews Tyres family wishes him a full and swift recovery.
